1500 Physalis peruviana (Golden Berry/Inca Berries/Cape Gooseberries)) all off to their new home. The greenhouse looking more spacious now and ready for hundreds of Murtilla – Myrtus ugni (Chilean Guava) cuttings and seedlings.
We spent the afternoon planting Stone Pines. If patient we will have pine nuts to harvest in around 7 years. In addition to adding to our kitchen supplies, the pines will also act as a wind break as they grow, slowing the south westerly winds that blow down from the snow fields.
As usual when doing anything around Auriga our supervisors were watching every move.
